Terms and conditions.
These terms apply to all our quotes and assignments, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Article 1. Applicability
These terms apply to all offers, quotes and agreements of RH Schilders, Chamber of Commerce number 78138930. Deviations only apply when we confirm them in writing. Terms of the client are expressly rejected.
Article 2. Quotes
Our quotes are without obligation and valid for 30 days. A quote is based on the situation we saw during the survey and on the information provided by the client.
Article 3. Prices and additional work
Prices are in euros and excluding VAT, unless stated otherwise. Work outside the quote, for example unforeseen wood rot or extra preparation, is discussed in advance and charged as additional work at a rate agreed with you in advance, plus materials.
Article 4. Execution and completion
We carry out the work according to good craftsmanship and the supplier's application instructions. Dates mentioned are indicative; weather conditions and drying times can affect the planning. The client provides free access, working space, power and water.
The work is considered completed after a joint inspection. Points noted at that moment are put right within 10 working days.
Article 5. Payment
Payment takes place within 14 days of the invoice date. For larger projects we can agree on instalments, for example 30% at the start and the remainder on completion. Late payment leads to statutory interest and collection costs.
Article 6. Warranty
We stand behind the quality of our painting work. Guarantee terms are agreed upon personally per assignment and recorded in the quotation.
The guarantee lapses in the event of damage by third parties, structural defects, external moisture, or deferred maintenance.
Article 7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount our insurer pays out in the relevant case, and otherwise to the invoice value of the assignment. We are not liable for consequential loss, business loss or damage to items the client did not remove or cover in time.
Article 8. Complaints
The client reports complaints about the delivered work to us in writing within 14 days of discovery. We make contact within 5 working days to discuss the complaint and put it right where needed.
Article 9. Applicable law
Dutch law applies to our agreements. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of Amsterdam.
